Turn off "Leave a message after the tone"

i would like the ability to turn off the automated message that comes on every voice mail "Please leave a message after the tone"
This auto generated message is very loud, harsh, and does not go in line with our recorded messages. It doesn't sound good .

3yrs on this? It's not good especially for call queue mailboxes. Really messes with the overall feel of the system. It's also one of the few places that the enduser experiences the phone system itself they're left with harsh and awkward.

Agreed, and it also doesn't allow auto-attendants, when used for dynamic voicemail greetings, to seamlessly transfer to a recording from a prompt without the abrupt interruption (we usually have an AA play the "greeting" and transfer to an extension's voicemail with a silent sliver of a greeting on the box itself, but can't get rid of the loud Please leave a message blurb and would like to.
